Meet Your Designer

Shawn Strok is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology. She started her career in  Fashion PR,  Sales and Design right in the heart of the fashion district of New York City.  As a recent college graduate, she loved living and working in Manhattan surrounded by inspiration and style. After a few years, the desire to create beautiful spaces in her own  apartment lead her to explore a transition to interiors.

Her first position in the new role was as a space designer with the Closet Factory. Next she made the complete jump  into residential design with her first business, Potters Hand Interiors.  Some years later she joined forces with Decorating Den Interiors. There were many benefits to aligning with a nationwide company that provided access to greater buying power, additional training and  fellow design professionals to learn and grow with.

Currently, Shawn lives with her husband and dogs on Lake Pearl. (Wrentham, MA)  She was blessed to have found a unique home to completely renovate right on the water.  Now, she enjoys casual lakefront entertaining for friends and family, including her two adult sons.  When she is not at the lake, you will find her serving at her church, traveling, checking out a new restaurant in Boston or Providence, golfing, hiking, biking or taking a hot yoga class.

Professionally, Shawn believes that shopping and networking local businesses has been the “secret sauce” to her success.  The relationships that she has developed have been invaluable on so many levels. A natural encourager, Shawn serves on local boards, scholarship programs, and mentors interns, recent grads and new business owners.

What is her design philosophy? “Good design says something about it’s inhabitants.”
